Its That Time of Year

I think this is one of my favorite times of the year. Everything is in bloom and it is not too hot, yet. I normally feel energized but for some reason I just 'ain't feelin' it'. I am not willing to admit that my age might be a factor. It is getting harder and harder to convince myself I am only 34.

Master's Week

Well another spring break has come and gone. We have seen the gamut of weather from A to Z. I know a lot of my friends took the opportunity to get out of town and avoid the tourists and traffic. I, personally, only heard of 2 celebrity sightings: Johnny Depp and Kevin Bacon. I guess I will never get to see a celebrity, that is unless they are at Kroger or the Bi-Lo. Or the Walmart if I happen to be 'big ballin'.

Celebrating the Royal Wedding

Well, my friends and I are getting together on April 29th to join in the celebration of William and Kate's nuptuals. What started as a simple tea and sandwiches has evolved into a get together of giddy anticipation. We all decided, early on, to dress up. We all plan to wear hats or some kind of head embellishment to honor the royals. I even bought gloves. I have not worn gloves since I attended the Military Ball, in high school. And yes, they had balls and high school back then. We have shopped hats and some made hats and certainly tried on a multitude of hats. This is really kind of fun, playing dress up and drinking tea and/or mimosas. I will keep you posted and I will try to capture some pictures.

Sunny Day

Well it is still a bit chilly outside the sun is shining. A lot has gone on this week. Madison got her braces on so I will be in debt to the Orthodontist for a while. She is very excited and is tolerating the discomfort like a champ. There is  big issue going on with a family member, I cannot say who or what to protect their anonimity, but this is a very trying time. At work we are all being moved again. They are flip flopping the upstairs folks and downstairs folks. I still do not see the logic in it, but for some reason the powers that be do not feel compelled to consult with me...go figure.

Sushi???

I guess I just don't get it. I cannot fathom why people like food that isn't cooked. Going to a Japanese steakhouse tonight. I guarantee everything I eat will be cooked.

I admit I am technically challenged

I forgot my password so it took me this long to post again.  Well this was a busy week. I took Maddie to the orthodontist. She has to have partial braces and an appliance that has to be 'turned' with a key. But we knew she was going to have to have braces, I was hoping it was still a couple of years off. Otherwise the week was nice, the weather was VERY nice.

Lazy Sunday

Today was such a lay about kind of day.I threw on some shorts and an old tshirt and ran a few errands. I went by the Home Depot. Have I mentioned I LOVE hardware stores? I think I must have been a carpenter or plumber in a previous life.

Birthday Party!

Okay, last night I went to my grandson's birthday party. While I won't say where (for legal reasons), I will say it was packed with noisy kids and there was someone in a giant rodent costume. Nuff said? With all the yelling, screaming and squealing, my hearing still has not completely returned. Parents just seem to turn their 'little darlings' loose in that chaos. You have to be so viligent to keep their kids from jacking your kids tokens. It is exhausting. If you say something to one of these tiny truants for trying to take tokens, then you will get to meet the parents who are prepared to beat you down. Oh well, times have changed. Anywho, we still had a good time and all our kids were pretty well behaved (at least in comparison).

OMG!

Whew! What a bleeping day. It started out okay but rapidly went downhill. It is always something. Would I be a bad person if I holed up in a hotel all by myself? Just snuggled up and vegging out?

The week that was..

Well really it wasn't a bad week. Just a busy one. We had Michelle's first birthday party at the park yesterday. It was sunny but the wind was kind of cold. Maddie got her Ipod touch as an early gift and she is really caught up in it. I got an Iphone4, it has facetime which is kind of cool

Rainy days and Mondays

What a blah day. It was a rainy Monday, adding insult to injury. Nothing new to report, just the same old, same old.

Man, I just won't stop will I?

Well it has been a busy day. Ran some errands, picked up a few things at the store. Michelle napped through a lot of it. I may make some beef stew tomorrow.

Today is my Chellebells first birthday. Its so hard to think it has been a whole year. She has changed so much. Yes, I gush about her, can't help it.

Last night

Well I had a fabulous time with friends last night at Armando's in Grovetown. If you haven't tried it yet you really should. Great pizza and great prices. The staff are cool too! We celebrated the February birthdays with cake, pizza and beer. We also got to watch UFC and listen to karaoki.

We also started planning out next get togethers. Honestly though, we don't really have to look very hard for a reason to party. We're just cool like that.

Well, I am sure this will be trifling and boring but it will also be a place to kind of record whats going on in my world, and after all, it is all about me.
